Luck Lane Remember

A memorial will be built in memory of a dear reception class pupil who sadly passed away

Children in Need Day, sadly marked the one year anniversary of one of our dear reception class pupils who sadly passed away very suddenly. Next week, weather permitting, we have a memorial outdoor reading garden being built in his memory in the Doves and Ducks (reception) outdoor playground. This will cause some disruption to the entry and exit for our younger pupils with some areas being cordoned off from Tuesday. Please bear with us whilst this work is being carried out.

I am pleased to tell you that the company carrying out the work is Newby Leisure who built our Key Stage 2 play area and they are doing the work free of charge. This means the money raised by you last year will be put towards a special memorial plaque within the garden so that our dear child will be remembered and cherished for many, many years to come.

The remainder of the funds will pay for the necessary equipment needed to carry out the landscaping work. Should any funds remain, after the garden has been built, these will be donated to a meningitis charity of the child's parents choice.
